'27 Promises and 1 Grudge', gets its inspiration from a photograph from the Library of Congress of a lynched man from 1928 where his shoes are untied and there is a ring on his finger.
The power of jewelry is that it is as large (conceptually) as an installation work, but maintains portability. It can be imbued with meaning and carried as a way to access those meanings/memories.
